Why Should Beauty Standard Be Removed?

Most beauty standard only judge women from their physical appearance. It makes women out there who doesn’t have these features feel unconfident and will do anything to fit in these standards, for example

  • strict diet
  • overdoing workout
  • consuming drugs/medicine

Of course, these activities can harm yourself, especially if you do it continously. That’s why beauty standards must be removed from society, to prevent women feeling unconfident. Beauty is not only judged from physical appearances but more to our kindness and personality.

How Do We Appreciate Ourselves?

  1. Accept how you are. Don’t compare yourself to others
  2. Have a supportive environment and accept yourself without changing the way you are
  3. Feel grateful for everything that you achieved today
  4. Learn to be more confident and brave to speak up how someone’s true beauty is based on their character, not their physical appearance
